DroneOps is an advanced UAV Flight Management System designed to enhance airspace awareness, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the safe integration of drones into controlled airspace. Our mission is to provide pilots and air traffic controllers with a user-friendly, reliable, and secure platform to manage UAV operations.
As drone technology continues to evolve, we are committed to developing an ecosystem that bridges the gap between UAV pilots and air traffic management, ensuring safe and efficient drone integration into airspace.
Alin Fusaru is a Romanian air traffic controller with a deep passion for aviation, technology, and safety. Seeing the rapid rise of drone usage, he embarked on a journey to develop DroneOps—a platform designed to improve UAV flight management and enhance airspace safety. DroneOps is built by an active air traffic controller, informed by real operational experience in Romanian airspace.
With no prior formal training in software development, Alin taught himself Python, Django, JavaScript, and geospatial technologies, dedicating countless hours to bring this project to life.
The biggest challenge was time—juggling professional duties while building a fully functional airspace management system was no easy feat. But the goal was clear: to create a safe, structured, and innovative way for UAV pilots and airspace managers to interact.

DroneOps is a privately developed project, created by Alin Fusaru in his personal capacity and on his own time. The application is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or developed on behalf of any institution, nor does it represent the views or services of the creator's employer. All features and implementations reflect solely the creator's personal initiative and passion for aviation and technology. This is not an official product or service of any organization.
DroneOps was created with the community in mind—to empower drone pilots, aviation authorities, and air traffic controllers with the tools they need to operate safely and efficiently. We are continuously improving the platform and welcome feedback to make DroneOps even better.
The airspace restrictions (CTRs, runway protection areas, UAS geographic zones and other published warnings) and the NOTAMs shown in DroneOps are sourced from ROMATSA, the Romanian Air Traffic Services Administration. NOTAM data is refreshed automatically every 10 minutes, around the clock, so the information stays close to real time. It is provided for situational awareness only and can change without notice—always reconfirm before you fly.
DroneOps is available on both iOS and Android. Plan missions, generate and sign your annexes, and check restrictions and NOTAMs from anywhere.
